First Post - Experimental Wishes

There are plenty of ideas for experimentation in video that i've wanted to do. I always collect electronics such as a small 6 inch cathode ray tv from the 80's that i dismantled for parts and a tube radio. I also look up various sites for electronics such as a synthesizer, even though i don't have the most experience in this yet. I wish i could hook up the CRT television to transfer an analog sound signal directly to an image on the screen. Yeah.. i know it seems impossible but one day i will get it to work. Second i need to collect composite footage for various motion graphics work anyways so i wanted to use green screen techniques to acquire natural footage of ink, smoke, confetti, etc. Anything that would be hard to imitate with a particle system in After Effects. I have never messed around with 3d so of course i would love experimenting with how it is made and what effects can be pushed by using two separate cameras to simulate eye movement. Lastly I have always wanted to understand the process of old editing techniques and drawing on actual film negatives. Much of this pushes for an understanding of the process of digitization (if that's a word) and furthering the conceptual nature of digital media for myself.
